Losing followers on your social media channels provides you with a learning opportunity.

In a recent survey conducted by groups Fractl and Buzzstream, 900 social media users were asked about their “unfollow behavior” in order to better understand what brands are doing wrong and how they can correct their behavior

21 percent of survey participants said they unfollow brands that post repetitive or boring content. 19 percent say they would unfollow a brand on Facebook if the brand posted too often – more than six times a day. Other activities that cause users to unfollow are offensive activity by brands, and content unrelated to the brand. A very interesting result of the survey is that 49 percent of LinkedIn users have never unfollowed a brand.
